Floor Cloths have been made for hundreds of years. My approach to design and craft comes from combining historical methods and patterns with current decorating trends. I use a painterly approach by layering the paint and using the brushstrokes to create richness and texture in my designs. I do not employ stenciling , but instead create hand drawn and hand painted designs in any size, dimension, and color scheme.

My floor cloths are made on heavy, triple-primed canvas and painted with artist quality acrylic paints and high quality interior house paints. Once the design is painted on the canvas, the floor cloth is sealed on front and back with multiple layers of polyurethane (a sealer used on hardwood floors). After the canvas has been sealed, I hem the edges using a flooring adhesive. The resulting floor cloth is a unique piece of art that is durable, water-resistant and long lasting.
